GDPR

As from Friday 25th May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect.  All businesses and most organisation have to comply to the GDPR, failure to do so and the regulation is breached, could result in heavy fines.

Please see below:
1. The Data Protection Policy for this Province
2. The Data Protection Notice for this Province
3. Frequently asked Questions
4. An example of a Lodge Data Protection Notice (if this notice is accepted the Provincial Grand Secretary will issue a form for each lodge)

It is considered acceptable to list members’ names on a summons, and contact details for members who may need to be contactable to carry out Masonic business i.e. Secretary, Treasurer, Almoner etc.  However it is not acceptable to have contact details on the summons for all members; this can be achieved by issuing a members contact list privately to all your lodge members.

Further information including details of a possible workshop to follow.

Don’t forget to now use the new Form P, hard and electronic copies have already been circulated.
